Windchill Navigate

Are you able to do ECN approval in Windchill Navigate or is it only Problem reports and ECRs?

Hello everyone, Since I updated Windchill 12.1 to CPS19, I've encountered this issue with Navigate. Is it possible that it's due to the CPS? If not, what could be the cause? How can I fix it?  (OOTB) applications are no longer usable and have the same error. TW Navigate Exception executing service, , on resource provider: WindchillDocumentResourceProvider

The Analyze Problem Report task is successfully displayed in Windchill Navigate, but the associated task-specific attributes are not being retrieved. 

We have a requirement to connect ThingWorx with Windchill using the OData Connector configured with Fixed Authentication. However, Basic Authentication is disabled on the Windchill server.When I configure Fixed Authentication using the Windchill org admin account, I get the following results:ValidateConnection: 200 (Success)RefreshEndpointCache: SuccessGetEndpointList: returns an empty array [] (no endpoints)Could someone please advise how we can populate or retrieve the endpoint list for this Fixed Authentication setup on this server? Thanks in advance,VV

Hello,Have anybody using out of the box View Part structure app? The tree widget in Thingworx removes the duplicate part numbers. That really becomes data integrity issue. We only see one occurrence of the M4X4_SHSS.PRT in Thingworx Navigate . How have you handle this? Thanks,Preeti

Hi Folks,I am new to the Thingworx Navigate and need to customize the Part Structure Tab of 'View Part Structure' Mashup. Currently the Part Structure Table represents Number, Name and State fields. We have a customer requirement to restrict the download functionality for Windchill Navigate users, while still allowing them to view (visualize) primary and secondary content attachments. The intent is to prevent users from downloading files, yet enable them to access and read the data through Navigate.Currently, access control in Windchill is managed via ACL permissions. However, if download access is restricted at the ACL level, users are unable to even view or search for attachments in Windchill Navigate. This creates a functional limitation, as the customer wants their users to be able to see the content in Navigate (for example, PDFs or viewable files), but not download it.

In an Expressions function: ExistentPTO in a Mashup X,I have a need to evaluate the payload on a call to a route (from another project: ToolB).response = Things["ToolB.v6DocMgmt"].getDocuments({......});if (JSON.stringify(response)[value] == []) {    output = "Not a good number";} else output = <target mashup name>; When viewing the mashup, i get this in the logs:19:06:28 WARN - Evaluation of expression "ExistentPTO" Failed. Things is not defined Can I NOT use Things within an Expression function? How do i refer to a Thing in another project?  

Hi, We've set up Single Sign-On (SSO) for ThingWorx using Okta as the Identity Provider (IdP) with No CAS. When we access the ThingWorx URL, it redirects to the Okta login page. Hello, I was wondering if anyone has setup Thingworx Navigate to use SSO but only using Okta as the IDP and CAS. We're working on implementing SSO in our Windchill environments and thus our Thingworx Nav would need to be switched to SSO as well, since it integrates with Windchill. Our company has decided we will not use Ping Federate or another CAS and thus only Okta will be used for SSO. We've discussed this with PTC and they said that this is possible to do, but since it's not supported (without Ping Federate) they won't help, so we're on our own trying to set this up.  I'm more looking for guidance and what info would be needed to send to the Okta group so they can setup the app on their end to talk to Thingworx Navigate. Thanks!  

The date time format on windchill details page and windchill navigate OOTB apps search result page is different not in sync. On windchill details page the date and time format is UTC (The date format was changed from default yyyy-mm-dd to dd-mm-yyyy) On Navigate app search details page date time format is different its coming IST and date format is still deafult.Windchill Version 13.0.2.4Windchill Navigate(Formerly Thingworx Navigate) Version -9.7.0 Can the date time format be in sync at both places? 

Hi All, We have configured the CAD additional file types of the CAD document thumbnail in windchill. However we search the CAD documents in the Thingworx navigate app, it's not listing the additional files from windchill. Regards, Rajadurai R

We just upgraded my environment from WC 12 to WC 13 and Thingworx Navigate from 9.3 to 9.7. We had some custom apps developed which do some number assignment. I am getting an error in some services and I think its because its not grabbing the instance based attribute we added to the Product Container. I am currently making a mashup in ThingWorx 9.6.1-b253, that needs to call upon a few private services from the thing PTC.Nav,ViewPartStructure. I have tried making a template of that thing and making my own thing inside the same project I am currently doing my work in, as the error states: " Access Modifier Check Failed; Thing: [SMDCostingCalculator] SMDViewPartStructure, accessing ThingTemplate: [ptc.nav.PTC.Nav.Default] PTC.Nav.ViewPartStructureAppThingTemplate Scope: NONE, with Service: GetRepresentableInfo Scope: PRIVATE. Reason: Private Characteristics are accessible only from project in which they're defined." which i can guess is because my thing, SMDViewPartStructure, is not in the service of PTC.Nav.Default.  Is there any workaround to be able to call these services as i need them. I know its possible as my company has another template that calls upon the service in a mashup in another project and seems to work, yet doesnt work when called as a service. &n

Curious what others are doing. When you deploy apps, do you link directly to them or do you make use of the landing page? I can see my page getting very cluttered soon with an ever growing cluster of "custom apps" appearing at the bottom. I am sure I can create my own front end with direct links to each app but is there a more standard way of modifying the landing page or even making a new one? I can see just a simple reorganization and sorting might be helpful. 

I am using Windchill Navigate (formerly ThingWorx Navigate) Release 9.6 and Datecode with CPS F000I get these error messages when trying to access the service Part_GET_All in the Thing:ptc-windchill-OData-connector and am unable to use the serviceHere are the errors that I faced"Error occurred: Unable to execute service GetEndpointList on ptc-windchill-OData-connector : Your route exchange has failed. Surprised I was not able to easily find this. I was successful at exporting and importing my custom groups but I would have expected that when I exported the navigate_view_named_group or navigate_contribute_named_group and tried importing them to my new server, it did not like this. I get that this is an OOTB group and there might be some restrictions around it.  I have hundreds of users I need to populate to these groups so what's the recommended solution?  We certainly aren't expected to manually load all these users in one by one right?

We have Thingworx Navigate platform where we have deployed 5 apps. We are using Windchill authentication for logging into Thingworx platform. There are two apps which requires manual access and rest of the apps are available for all the users.We are facing issue when user tries to login with different combinations of uppercase and lower case letters which in turns create 5 different username in Thingworx platform. Windchill does not have this issue. What are the ways we can prevent these situation.

I might not be doing things proper but trying to learn and do an upgrade in place (kind of) of Navigate while upgrading Windchill. Goal is to get to 9.7 and WC 13.0.2.  I have a clone on my test Navigate system and my upgrade target Windchill at 13.02. DB is SQLServer if that matters for Navigate. Thingworx appears to function and I can authenticate (which is to Windchill). I can see main page and Composer. I made sure all of the Odata connectors, integration connectors and proxy connectors map to the new temp hostname (-upgrade for my rehearsal 1). At the current time, I have not upgraded Navigate since I wanted to validate its functioning properly first. I have some custom apps which their own Odata connections and they seem to function fine. Its just the OOTB navigate apps that do not work. If it just as simple a running upgrade to bring it to 9.7 which would be supported with 13.02,  I can do that but its a one way street. If something else was wrong or it should work as

Does Thingworx Docker support, windchill Navigate?

Hello, is it possible to customize the drawing bundle app, to download additional file formats? I know it's called 'drawing bundle', but can it be modified to also download STEP/IGES files of the related 3D? best regards,Stijn
