Assembly hide part of skeleton model

Hello, I'm in Creo 10 trying to make an assembly drawing, where one part is a skeleton model / surface shrinkwrap of a more complex part. Other parts exist in this assembly and I want to make a section view. The problem is that the skeleton model lines are still visible behind the normal parts which makes the section cluttery and it is difficult to highlight the parts that I want to show. Is there some way to hide parts of the skeleton somehow with layers or something? I have searched around and found somewhat similar issues but haven't found any solution that worked for me.

You should be able to do this with layers. Define layers in the skeleton model and add the items you need to hide to those layers. In the drawing view where you need to hide them set the layer visibility in the drawing view (not the model or drawing) to hide what you do not want to see.

 

In the drawing you can control the display of layers for one single view by using the layer tree and selecting the view name where you want to hide layers only for that view.

 

This is an example of what you will see in the layer tree used to select a view for layer assignment.
