I am working on the design using the CREO student version, and my colleague is working with SOLIDWORKS. A colleague handed over the .sldprt file, and CREO says, 'Unsupported file version.'
In this case, is this a problem because it is a CREO student version? (The same problem is repeated for sldprt files that are readily available online.)
Hi,
which Creo version?
which SOLIDWORKS version?
For example:
Creo 7.0.0.0 is able to open Solidworks 2019 files. You cannot open Solidworks 2020+ files
Hi, thank your for your support!
I'm using CREO 10.0 student version
and my 2 collegues using 2022 and 2023 each.
in this case, what will be matter for the compatibility?

Hi,
https://support.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp enables you to install Creo 10.0.0.0.
According to PTC KB Creo 10.0.0.0 is able to open Solidworks 2022 files.
Solidworks 2023 files can be opened in Creo 10.0.2.0.
