Creating a Spatial Zone Envelope Part

Is there a way to create a Spatial zone in a assembly then create a shrinkwrap  of that zone?  Or a Envelope of zone? The assembly I have I cant do extrude cuts in the model to delete what i need from assembly because the geometry was brought in as external copy geometry and solidified.  I don't want to send the entire assembly off to supplier just a zone of the assembly.

generally, you can use simplified representation to include the parts you need to send to the supplier, and then you do a shrinkwrap of  this particular assembly.
