CreoView Measure Tool?

Are there any good tricks to using the measure tool in Creo View 4.1?  It does not seem to work like Creo Parametric...   

First impression... it's pretty awful...

    The only "trick" is that if you have a MCAD license you can create a CYS so that you can measure along a projected axis. The process for doing that is painful though and its a lot of mouse clicks just to get a projected measurement.

    I was hoping for something we could use for the average needs... 

    Is PTC planning on fixing the Measuring Tool?
