Hello

Need to change my 10 year old Lenovo Thinkpad T450s running windows 10 to a new one Lenovo Thinkpad P14s G5 running windows 11 with AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 8840HS CPU and AMD Radeon 780M graphics.

Would that be possible for Creo 4 M080 to run?

Officially, NO.

You can try and you may be lucky.

This will definitely not be supported under Win 11 and current HW as Creo 4 has been long out of support. It is possible and IMO likely that Creo 4 will run but you will have to try it and see.

Your listed HW config is ISV certified by Lenovo for Creo 11.

Hi,

I believe Creo 4.0 could run on your new Thinkpad even if PTC does not support such combination.

I guess installation was successful and Creo 4.0 does not start. Is it true?

Question: Is your license locked or floating?

Possible problem sources:

---

1.] graphic card drivers

... try adding graphics win32_gdi option into config.pro

---

2.] network card

... what network cards are installed in your new Thinkpad?

... couple of days ago I met following situation:

  • Creo 4.0 M010 using locked license
  • Dell notebook containing Intel(R) Wi-Fi 7 BE200 320MHz (the only one network card installed)
  • PROBLEM >>> Creo 4.0 M010 did not start because it was not able to detect above mentioned network card
