Drawings Around the World?

I am wondering what other companies may be doing if they have engineering centers and manufacturing plants around the world.  

Are you asking the drawings to always be created in English or do you allow the drawing to be created in the native locale?  

Does anyone have any experience with translating a drawing at all?
