Edge orders and timesteps

Hi,

Following on from

Unecessarily repeated first time step

I have been investigating the use of timesteps rather than design studies.

Question:

If I ramp the load with the following histories and compare

The edge order for all timesteps in the second pass does not change.

How does simulate choose the edge order for the second pass?

Is it the same as multiple loadsets where the highest estimated edge order from all loadsteps in PASS1 is used for all loadsteps in PASS2 at the expense of CPU?

... I forgot to point out that the analyses are CONTACT ad therefore cannot be scaled.
