Question

Embedded Dimension problem

Gurus,

I'm trying to add a dimension in another dimension using the following
syntax

3x &d280 = @D

The value for &d280 will only show on model dimensions; however, I want
to show it in a dimension created in the drawing.

I'm pretty sure I have done this before so I wonder if it is a config
option or drawing option I need to set.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Eric

Look for the config option 'create_drawing_dims_only' and set it to
'no'.  This controls where the created dims in a drawing are stored.
Yes - created dims are stored in the drawing, No - They are stored in
the model.

Selecting 'yes' means a change to the drawing doesn't generate a change
to the model, however it prevents embedding model dims (& parameters I
believe) into created dims.
