Dear Creo Users,
I am trying to use flatten quilt and flatten quilt deformation option in Creo modeling. I find this similar to creosheet-metal unbend option. I think it is mostly used in creo surface modeling purpose. What do you think? When should I use it?
With regards,
Soumya
Hi all,
Any other suggestions, discussions and ideas regarding this will be appreciated.

flatten quilt is surely used for flattening complex surfaces,
I think if you search here you would surely find many examples.
Above is a surface helical feature..which has been flattened with flatten quilt. This will be further used to cut an approximate metal plate.
Another example of flatten quilt and flatten quilt deformation.
First the curved surface.
Next flatten it.
Then write the text on the flattened surface.
next use flatten quilt deformation to bend back the text on the curved surface.
Hi all,
Can I flatten complex blend and sweep and swept blend surfaces with using flatten quilt and flatten quilt deformation?
A part(surface blend) is attached herewith. I have tried but failed to flatten this. What do you think?

you would need a specific flattening software i guess.
