I know I can adjust the density value to a min and get a .prt that has a very low density. But how to make it have zero density? Like in the case where you have an envelope that represents the movement of a part. But it in your assembly?
I'm thinking I might try an make the part a surface part. But finding oyt how to make the density zero would be nice.
Thanks for any help.
I am not sure when the changed happened, but PTC no longer allows densities of 0.
Can you do it in a skeleton part?
If you really want to do this another option might be to find a model made in 2000i (or older release) that has a density of 0 and then rename it, delete all of the features and go from there. I have one so I know at some point in time it was allowed.
You can't even "assign" the mass or density as zero.
I think you are stuck with using a surface model. That's my preference anyway, I use either models with just curves or just surfaces to represent motion.
