How to prevent Modelcheck from removing a feature from one layer when assigned to multiple layers?
I have a 3d note in a model assigned to 2 layers. I need this note to remain on both layers.
Modelcheck currently removing it from the last layer in the layer tree.
How can I prevent this from happening when running interactive Modelcheck?
I have the configuration files uploaded to the following PTC community post.
https://community.ptc.com/t5/System-Administration/How-to-prevent-Modelcheck-from-removing-a-feature-from-one-layer/m-p/805066/emcs_t/S2h8ZW1haWx8dG9waWNfc3Vic2NyaXB0aW9ufEw1NkYyREtBRkhJVDNZfDgwNTA2NnxTVUJTQ1JJUFRJT05TfGhL#M28266
Here are the errors that I faced
no errors or warning, the feature is removed from a second layer that it is assigned to and shouldn't be removed from any layers
Unfortunately you just created another community post instead of opening a case. When you get to the point in the case logger where it suggests you open a community post instead, don't do it. Choose no and continue on to case creation instead.
Hi Tom,
Currently we are on Creo 4 with paid support, ready to upgrade to Creo 8 but waiting for a project to be completed that was required to be done in Creo 4 before we can roll out 8.
I tried to create a PTC ticket and the last step it created the forum post again without creating the ticket because 4 is beyond support.
I guess I will need to wait till we have Creo 8 Rolled out before I can resolve the layer issue.
Thanks,
Don A
When opening the ticket change the release data to a supported date code. You can still submit the Creo 4 models for testing. You will then get the support you need on this. If they find it is not an issue in a newer release, they will let you know.
