IFX Intelligent fastener - Plastic screw library and molded-in inserts library?

Hello -

 

Does anyone know if there are existing libraries for the ifx extension for common plastic screws - thread formers and thread cutters?  

 

I'm also wondering if there are libraries for plastic molded-in inserts like these: SI® Molded-In Inserts – PennEngineering (pemnet.com)

Hi,

 

at the moment we do not have those libraries.

Of course it is possible to extend the library to your needs.

 

Do you also have a link to the plastic screws - thread formers and thread cutters?

 

Maybe we could expand the library at sometime.

    Thanks for the reply.  

     

    Here is a link for an example of thread forming screws: McMaster-Carr

     

    The thread cutting screws are less common.

     

    I think some of the features of ifx might not work well for plastic applications.  Because the bosses in plastic are generally drafted the hole update feature might not follow through well.  But the fastener placement and patterning would still be helpful.
