Question

Insert chinese characters in a annotation in a part

Hi everybody,

is it possible to insert chinese characters in a note in partmode. When I try it, I only get squares.

Problem is, I don't want to change the default font and I don't want the chinese characters to be changed to 2D-Elements.

I want to use the note (annotation) as UDF.

Best regards

Jens

Jens,

I guess you have to select chinese language during ProE installation (at least).

Hello Martin,

the languages are installed. I also have the possibility to create a note with these characters in a drawing.

But when I create a symbol out of that note and insert this very symbol in a part as an annotation, I only get squares.

I think it's because of the default font in partmode, but how can I change the text style in an annotation in partmode?

Hello Jens,

I am sorry I don't have any other idea. Maybe PTC Support can help you... (I expect chinese users must be able to create chinese annotations).

FYI: Some time ago I asked PTC Support, if it is possible to put greek character "lambda" into an annotation. Their answer was ... This is not possible, because system font used in annotations doesn't contain such character.

Best regards

Martin
