Model Display Issue

Hey Everyone,

I have a problem in displaying the parts in Assembly.

I have an assembly created with Family table in it, when I opened one of the instances of the Generic Assembly, the components are not visible in the Shading with Edges setting, but when I switch the model display to No Hidden line or Hidden Line, I could see the parts. Can someone help me with this issue.

The parts in question, are they solid bodies or quilts?  Do you have transparency turned all the way up?

If you have solid bodies that are transparent and you don't want that, you can either toggle the button next to solid bodies to disable transparency mode across the board or you can click on the body in the design tree and disable transparency for each solid body.

Thank you for your response.

The parts are solid bodies and I do not have the transparency turned on for these parts.

Hi,

open "invisible" part in separate window. What can you see?

What appearance is set for "invisible" part in Part mode?

What appearance is set for "invisible" part in Assembly mode?

Martin Hanák

Hi Martin,

I do not have any appearances for the parts. Sorry that I cannot share the pictures, but I would try to give an example. Assume that there is a House Door Assembly which is Generic, I created Family table for the Generic Assembly which has different Door Variations in terms of Geometrical Dimensions.
Assume that I created 2 instances which are 7 Feet X 4 Feet and 6 Feet X 3 Feet, each door shares same hardware Door hinges, Fasteners and Door Panel. So now when I open 7X4 Door, I can see all the parts but when I open 6X3 I was not able to see Door hinges. FYI none of the parts have any appearance applied to them.

I hope I explained clear.

Hi,

please do following test:

  • start new Creo session
  • open assembly instance containing 6 Feet X 3 Feet door
  • check whether Door hinges are present in session memory ... click File > Open > In Session

If Door hinges are not present in session memory then this means that they are suppressed in their assembly instance. This state can be caused by values set in family table row related to assembly instance -OR- by relationships between assembly components.

It is up to you to find the root of the problem.

Thank you, Martin, I will check it and also will cross check my values in the family table.
