I'm wondering if it's possible to replace the quantity in a repeat region BOM balloon by 'AR' text or by the rpt.rel.qty value, like Chris3 mentions in a post in this thread: https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Bom-Split-Balloon-Issue/td-p/56506
I've made a custom balloon and try to use the alt balloon symbol command but Creo says the symbol must contain quantities. I'm using Creo 4.
Is the quantity in repeat region BOM table for the items of interest equal to "AR"? If I recall accurately, the balloon variable text is driven by the regions in the BOM table.

Supporting info:
If your table does not have AR for quantity then you may want to review this for one possible solution to set the table up.

Hey, thanks for the links, I had looked through those earlier. Apologies, I wasn't specific enough in my question. I was able to make a custom BOM balloon to use the rpt.rel.qty, which has AR where needed. The issue is that the custom balloon doesn't work properly with the split balloon command, as described in the post I linked in my question. I was hoping there was a way to be able to do both (have the AR where needed and be able to split the balloons when needed). Chris3 mentioned in that thread I linked that he uses the alt balloon symbol to make AR custom balloons where needed, which seems like it should work. However Creo won't let me do that, as it says the custom symbol must contain quantities. I'm assuming it doesn't like that the custom symbol uses rpt.rel.qty instead of just rpt.qty.
