SHOW/ERASE tool in WF5

Hi.
I have a question about the new show/erase tools in WF5. The work flow is better than it was in WF4 but i am not able to show/erase cosmetic threads feature by feature. I can show/erase ALL cosmetics. Also i can erase individual cosmetics but does not always work and don´t know why.
In WF4 I used to erase all cosmetics and show only the most suitable ones for the current view. That worked fine for me.
Any help? Am i missing something?
