Question

Triming cosmetic threads in an assy

Creo 2.0 users,

I have an assembly and am cutting the ends of a threaded rod used in it.  I cut the rod but can't cut the cosmetic threads.  I don't have an option to trim the surfaces and also don't have the option to select a quilt when I try to make an extruded cut as a surface.  Am I just out of luck or am I missing something?  I can hide the cosmetic thread but I would rather not, if I can avoid it.

You used to be able to use a surface cut and trim the
cosmetic back to the quilt, but it appears that this functionality has been
removed in Creo, unless anyone else can advise?
