Vertex won't constrain to line

I want to connect this corner vertex to this sketch line.  The coincident constraint won't let me connect them.  They are in different sketches and on different planes if that matters.

The line appears perpendicular to the sketch.  In that case, you will need to use an end point of the line.

You likely need to manage your sketch references to include the items external to the active sketch.
