In Creo 4.0 weld solid is created as a feature under the model tree. Does anyone know how to export this weld solid separately as STL or any other neutral format ?
Hi KSM, my goal is not to export the entire assembly but to export only the weld solid as a separate part. As with PTC they are denying any such flexibility. But thanx a lot for your reply.
I am new to weld features myself, but I wonder whether you could accomplish this by some combination of merging and subtraction, such as (a) creating a step file of your entire assembly (including welds), then (b) creating a merged solid including your components but not your welds, then (c) subtracting the merged solid from the step file, leaving only the weld solid behind.
