When will PTC introduce extrude normal to surface of a wrapped sketch?

A google search indicates that since before 2010 CREO has been incapable of offering direct extrusion from a wrapped sketch. There are various work-arounds that exist which largely requires minimum 3-4 steps and it is not very stable. The most recent "solution" from PTC is CS82388 which takes 2 seconds to modify some parameters to see why it is not a solution: it does not translate/wrap around the cylinder beyond 180 degrees.  In Solidworks you can literally extrude/cut directly from the wrap tool beyond 180 degrees, this is in just 1 step.

 

So, PTC, you are very much behind your competitors, and have seemingly ignored your users for over a decade -  when will extrusions from a wrapped sketch be introduced as it is not in CREO 10?

You can submit an idea for enhancement at this link. Search the ideas to see if the same idea is already there. The more detailed you are with documenting the use case and proposed functionality, the better. Follow up with the modeling technical committe as well to get it on the list for consideration sooner.

Keep in mind that SW is not able to do many things that Pro/E (Creo ) has been able to do since the 1990s so the behind the competition argument cuts both ways.

Tell me again how Solidquirks can use graph functions in things like sweeps?  Or tell me Solidquirks has a trajpar function.  Or doesn't have a limit when twisting a solid around to make things like phone cords.  Or has Spinal or Toroidal bend, or....  Go ahead, I'll wait.....

 

And for reference, those slots etc. are easily doable in Creo, I did it in the same 3 features by 2 different methods.
