angle measurement confusion

I am using the analysis feature in Creo 6 to measure angles.  I have read that Creo applies the angles to the normals which makes no sense to me.  Even if I select supplement, conjugate, etc., Creo never shows the angle the way it needs to be in order to be clear.  Please see attached screenshot.  The angle that I measured is shown with the red arrows, but Creo shows only the angle to the normals.  This is confusing, especially when you show this to someone that does not use Creo.

 

Is there any settings that would get the angle measurement to show as expected?

    Two options come to mind for a workaround.

    You can create a construction feature that explicitly dimensions the angle as you desire and use that to control the angle offset of the plane.

    If you were to create a dimension instead of an analysis would that still work for your intended purpose? Here is an example of an annotation dim.

    I guess creating a dimension to check the angle and then deleting it would be OK, but that is just extra steps.  The analysis feature should be able to do this without a workaround, at least that is my hope.

    I use the analysis feature to simply check angles in a part or an assembly.  I do this just for a quick reference, especially when I am working on a model that someone else has created.  For example, I have an assembly model created by someone else that uses a circuit board.  The board has an angled notch, I want to know that angle to check it against another part.  I do this a lot and it should be simple just as it is in every CAD software that I have used in the past.
