so I'm familiar with the help docs and other items in the help/support site on setting up a pen table (table.pnt) but is there a specific "color" callout for cable part files? or is it all wrapped up under pen 1?
I dont want to set PEN 1 to black because ive got other entities on the drawing i want to have in color.
Ive tried isolating the quilt_color to a unique pen and that doesn't work. Any thoughts? Or should I file an enhancement?
Hi,
1.] please upload data set for testing purposes (Creo version ?)
2.] try to find which color is connected to cable parts
3.] if it is necessary you can "move" entitied plotted by pen 1 to another pen ... to do this you must know appropriate keywords
Thanks Martin. That "appropriate keyword” is what i am looking for specific to cable.prt files. i have a feeling I need to place an enhancement, since the cables wire colors are all over the place.

Hi,
please upload Creo files. This dataset enables me to see your "situation".

Hi,
unfortunately, I don't have enough knowledge about cabling. However, I'm pretty sure the cabling behavior is "specific" and must be discussed directly with PTC Support.
Below you can find information about my testing procedure.
I opened assembly and hide connectors.
I opened drawing and removed all annotations.
I plotted following drawing state into HPGL-2 file using DESIGNJET plotter.
I opened plot file in Notepad++ and searched string SP (SP = Select Pen command).
I found SP1, only. This means that cable lines are plotted by pen 1. Also there is no keyword that redirects line plotting to another pen.
I generated PDF and got following result.
Note:
Your drawing contains following note
This note is printed by pen 1, too. I suggest you to redefine the appropriate symbol and assign it some system color. This enables you to print the note by different pen.
That is all from my side .. I can't provide any other tip/trick.
