model after regenerating partly in wireframe and not usable anymore

hi All

 

I am facing an issue with a 3D assembly. Everytime I open the assembly with a simplified representation (not Master or automatic) and regenerate the model, the model changes partially to wireframe (not all parts, only some of them) and these parts are not selectable anymore. 

does anyone have and idea what the problem here is?

 

Creo 7.0.12.0 with Windchill 11

Not 100% sure but here is my guess. Maybe because it's an "On Demand" rep (so Creo is only opening Geometry and Features as required), it is only showing you graphical reps now. And, the graphical reps of those parts are only wireframe (they could be old models or models saved without shaded graphics).
