overwrite the NPT thread depth.

I'm using custom NPT thread for my one of my design. is there a way to change the standard thread depth/length to custom value ? pls. assist.

Yes. Create a custom hole and add it to a hole file. This will allow the custom hole to placed in a model with the custom specifications and notes.

I want thread length to be editable since i have different hole different thread depth. it is possible to edit the value something similar to Creo 9.0 does ?

The cosmetic thread length on tapered standard hole features is editable in Creo 9.0.

 

Before: (.273)

The length (depth) of the tapered section is also editable while the 'straight drill' is set to none.  Just turn it off, edit the length, and then turn it back on.

What version of Creo are you using?

The issue with changing the depth of a tapered thread is that it changes the mating depth of the fitting. Go too deep on the threaded hole and you may not get a good seal.
