Hello,
How to create an area not managed by windchil for creo?
To store design environments.
cordially
Disconnect your Creo session from Windchill, then set your working directory to a local/network disk location.
Thank you for your reply.
But I want to import into a Creo assembly (built in windchill) another assembly (environment outside my design).
I must stay connected to Windchill.
I only want to not load the environment in WindChill.
With Catia it is possible to add a folder "unmanaged read area" in the wgmclient.ini. but with Creo I do not know how to do it.
You can still set your working directory to a local folder and be connected to your Windchill workspace.
To load the local file into your open Windchill assembly, just do it as normal and select Working Directory for you folder, then select your file.
I tested your solution.
I have an assembly "Assembly1"
I have an another assembly in the local working directory "Env1"
I am assembling the environment (Env1) in my assembly (assembly1)
When I save Assembly1 in windchill, Env1 is added to the windchill workspace.
I want to save in windchill only assembly1.
