Model Manager vs. Windchill Workgroup Manager (WGM) in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a database solution for Creo Elements/Direct Modeling. I am trying to determine the advantages, disadvantages and differences between Model Manager and Windchill Workgroup Manager (WGM). 

We used Model Manager (17.0) as a database solution in the past (2014), with limited success. 

We are being pushed corporately to move to a Windchill database environment. I would like to ask the community if there is any good reason to use Model Manager over WGM.
