Hi all,

I'm a beginner under ProMechanism and I try to test this software. I try to simulate the behavioral of con rod crankshaft system. I'm surprised by my first results, the velocity and the acceleration of piston aren't negatives. Do you have an explanation?

Capture1.bmpYou find here the acceleration on the Top and the velocity on the bottom.

I do not know if it is still up to date, but the reason that all values are positive is probably that they are velocity and acceleration magnitudes, not vectorial components regarding a coordinate system.

Thus they can not be negative.
