Error - geometry preparation

Hello,

I often have to use the "Extrude for volume region" option.

It operates well in a lot of cases but there are some situations when it leads to error:

I am using this function similar in every case so I dont understand what is the reason of this error. It is very disappointing because there are a lot of cases when I am not able to go further without this useful option.

Hi Roland,

What are you trying to accomplish with the Volume Region?

If trying to refine the mesh locally you might try just using a surface region. This will have some effect on elements below the surface and remember Creo Simulate continually refines the mesh (makes it smaller) while running the analysis to try to converge the problem.
