Sections in family table

Hello,

I have a generic part, with 3 instances.

In the generic, there are all functions, then instances are cast part, pre-machined, and machined part.

I have a section, that is made for machined part, which uses a plan passing through a hole.

This hole is at "NO" in the family table for cast-part and pre-machined.

So, the plan doesn't appear.

But the problem is with the section depending of the plan. It brings me an error because it doesn't find the reference.

When I verify the family table, cast-part and pre-machined failed.

It is not possible to had the section in the family table because it is not a function, but it reacts like one.

Do you know how to resolve my problem ?

Thanks

You could create an axis (before the hole) to define the hole position, and then redefine both the hole and the plane to reference that axis. The plane would then be independent of the hole.
