how to using Creo MDO 3D contact

Such as pictures, 3D contact tool Get used to using.

I want to use the analysis.

Is caught flat surface.

As shown in the figure, the rotation of the surface modeling is not recognized.

Is there another way?

Hi,

3d contact can only handle flat surfaces connected to rounds (or datum points).

You have to define a flat surface on the cone, you can then hide the surface (which is not a solid).

tips:

- assign a material to all individual parts.

- Only assign 3d contacts where its really needed.

- regenerate before starting analysis

- use higher frame-rate for better results

I hope 3d contact will be a lot more user friendly in CREO 3..

good luck.
