Isodraw 2d to 3d Issues with JT files

We have use jt files that are exported from SolidEdge. We open our pre sized template and place one or two JT files  on the standard layer in isodraw. We then adjust the models as required, convert from 3d to 2D, scale and move it to fit on our template. Then if we convert back to 3D sometimes the models are at axis in the image not at the one that it was on before 2d'ing it. We also have issues where going back to 3D the model goes back to being the original size not the scaled size. We have tried to do all our scaling in the 2d environment. If you have any suggestions that would be great.
