My first FlexLM license request

So far, nothing show-stopping, although I do not have my license yet, but
more on that in a moment. Let's face it. All license management is, at best,
annoying. At the other end of the extreme, it is torturous. FlexLM is
somewhere in between ... probably closer to annoying than tortuous, but
further from anoying than

The new flow is this:

Install Editor (I haven't quite gotten there on PE yet).
Start Editor (no more License Administrator).
Get a licensing error dialog that contains your "host ID" (equivalent as far
as I can tell for the old Server Code).

that should end "...further from annoying than before."

    70 minutes later, it arrived.

the only problem I had with the process was the license file didn't
come across as an attachment as my email application saw it as text
and folded into the base message. Took a couple of tries to get just
the right amount of content so the file was correct.

Did you have a better turnaround time?

Yeah I think the license came very quickly and then the support call
I logged to try and get a zipped file was almost immediately answered.

I've had some very quick turnarounds on calls about license issues.
We tried to configure a floating license of Print Composer this last
week. I logged a question and it was answered in about 10 minutes -
literally had a phone call in both cases.

So, I'd have to do this for each of my approximately 100 users? Is there mention of any way to batch up several requests?

I *think* there was a way to provide multiple host IDs in one request (as
there was before, right?). I don't use that capability and didn't focus on
    it during my requests.

    Hello Dan,

Are you using Lotus Notes? We have the same problem and got this reply from PTC IT folk:

"Our Perl script that emails the license file attachments does not use the Content-Disposition
setting at all. This is the standard script that we have been using all along and has no recent
changes to it. We believe there should some settings in Lotus Notes that can manipulate the
receiving emails attachments to show as a separate attachment instead showing up in the email body.
There are such settings in Microsoft Outlook. This issue can be resolved at the customer end - Lotus
Notes setting. Please ask them to contact Lotus Notes support."

If anyone finds an answer to this one, please let me know 'cos it's a real pain.

I'm using Eudora set to display as text (no HTML). If the file had just
been Zipped it would have worked fine.

For me once I saw it, I just wasn't sure where to cut or if there was a
dependency on line breaks or such. There were begin and end markers, but I
    wasn't sure where to cut.
