Procedure to import .book file into Editor

I want to import .book file into Editor
Currently i am using the following procedure:-

[1] convert .book file to htm in framemaker

[2] convert .htm file to xml using Arbortext Architect

[3] open .xml file in Editor

Is it the right way & is there any other way which i cado this?
