Anyone have a clue as to what the 'Alternative Mass Properties' are used for ? Also what does 'designated', yes vs. no mean? Thanks

If the actual weight of the part is different than the one caculated by Pro/Engineer you may use an alternative mass propertie

Designated parameters are shared between Pro/Engineer and data management systems like Intralink and Windchill

Hi After have defined alternate mass properties, I want to use them when I produce a "model analysis > mass properties". When I choose assigned in the dialog box, Pro/E uses it to calculate the mass of the parts and of the assembly but it doesn't the center of gravity data I defined. How could my analysis use only the alternate mass properties?
