How do I create a symbol from a company logo?
Marco Tosin,
I am sorry for asking in the wrong section. I'm new to the community so I don't know where to ask. Will you be so kind as to help me with that? Where can I ask to get the right info? Thanks in advance
Geovanni,
Ryan has moved it to the correct section for you.
What does your company logo look like? What kind of file is it? A screen shot or some information will help you get an answer.
We don't have ours in a symbol (in title block) but it looks like this.
Stephen Williams, this is the logo. It is a .bmp file. I tried to turn it into a symbol, but I'm not even close to it.
Basically you need to create a sketch and then turn that into a symbol.
You might want to take a look at these pages:
If you just want to show it on a rendered image, you can apply it as a decal in the appearance editor.
If you really need it as a symbol or on a drawing, you'll have to convert it to vector sketch as Tom says.
Geovanni,
Ryan moved your request in Creo section, which is the right for you.
Now you have to wait for an answer by some Creo power user.
Have you checked with other GE divisions to see if they have done this before? I know Oil & Gas is using Creo Parametric.
GE oil and gas is a vendor of ours (and also a competitor in some markets) and I can confirm that they have the logo on their vendor drawings. I would suspect, like most large companies, artwork is available for the logo in many formats (including vector).
