PTC Pricing Increase

Our maintenance contract is up in December and our reseller is telling us that PTC is increasing prices as of Oct 1st, the start of their fiscal year. They are offering us the opportunity to renew now to avoid the increase. He couldn't tell me what the increase would be, but said in the past it was 5-10%.

Has anyone else heard that there would be a price increase this October?

I have heard the same thing. See if you can do two things: renew before the price hike and possibly (if your managment and VAR are open to the idea) negotiate a multi-year contract. We did a three year contract last year, negotiating a discount off the standard maintenance renewal prices as they were in 2012. It also means we avoid the price increases until we have to renew in 2015.
