Variable chamfer like a variable round?

Is there any way to make a variable chamfer like a variable round? I poked around the chamfer command, looked at the help files, searched both the exploder, and the community and didn't really see anything...

    Depending of your geometry, perhaps you could:

    - make a variable round.

    - make a sweep surface between the 2 generated curves by the round feature.

    - extend this surface if necessary on 4 boundaries.

    - make a cut with this surface.
