box around text of a multiline note?

Is it possible to put one box around an entire multi-line note using the @[
text @] command? (see the bottom note in the picture below)
No matter what I try, I get the top note in the picture below. What I'd
like is the bottom note, which I faked in with draft entities. I can do
that, but I'd prefer something more robust.
