viewing .asm and .prt files

is it possible to email a .asm or a .prt file for someone to view only if that someone does not have pro-engineer? if so how can it be done?

    Yes you can. Open your part or assembly, go to 'File', 'Save As' and select 'PDF U3D' from the drop down menu. This is a 3D PDF file, you only need Adobe Acrobat to open it but you can rotate the model around just like on ProE. Its an excellent little thing and should be just the thing you need.

    James The non-Pro-E user can also download ProductView from PTC which will allow them to view any Pro-E file. The Adobe answer will work as long as you have the correct Pro-E version and Adobe on your end.
