Hi ,

Whenever I need to create a new part, the part number, part name and other some information are entered in relation parameter tab that can access in assembly and drafting template. From this manual method I need to automate this process to create new part number and part name only in the party modern template.

If any one knows about the automation in relations or pro program, please guide me through this to make possible. Thanks in advance...

Designated parameters you can fill in "New File Option" dialog during creation of new model.

This list can be very long if you are using a PDM. It does not look like it is possible to sort the parameters in this list.

You can show parameters in the Model tree. You can even enter the value from an assembly for all the parts and subassemblies it contains.

Do you want

a) Copy part name and number to drawing parameters?

or

b) Auto-generate values for parameters (name and number)  during part creation? Like auto-numbering in Windchill.

Hi there, thanks for replying,

I just wanted to set part name and number for every new part creation.

For example, let's consider that I am creating an assembly of engine, child part have different numbers like Eg-111-001, 002, etc. like the I am giving each values of name and number just go t parameters and set a new parameters of number and name that relation will add on drafting template. In that case, whenever I am open a new part model, the part name and number input pop up have to open by automatically. That is what I am expecting in my project. That assembly has around 300+ parts.

Thanks

Regards Mani
