Can the vb(a) toolkit delete also an attachment file from Windchill

Dear,
I want to replace all iges files by a step file in a batch mode. I intent to use the vba toolkit in combination with Excel to drive Pro/E. My question now is; can the toolkit also access and delete the old iges file known as attachment in Windchill ? We are at Windchill 9.1 M60 & Pro/E 5 M110. Or are there maybe better approaches ?
