Is it possible to use layer state of components in assembly mode in Creo Parametric?

1. I'm head of technical department, We realize drawings and molds for tyres

2. We use Creo 10 version. 10.0.8.0

3. My problem is to manage the state layer in assembly mode, for each kind of component where i have created inside of each one the releated state layer.

4.Complete the tyre sequence, in different rules study mold.

5.I don't know, is a new process. Speed on the drwaings and rules check and the modification is very helpfull for each drawer

Thank you for your question.

It appears that your post has not yet received any response. I am replying to raise awareness. Hopefully, another community member will be able to help.

Also, feel free to add any additional information you think might be relevant. It sometimes helps to have screenshots to better understand what you are trying to do.

Its unclear to me what your question is. It sounds like you are using layer states to show various steps of a manufacturing assembly process. Are you asking about how to create layer rules?

There is a video on rule based layers here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0oxvdvLeoo

FYI the customization subforum is for folks that are looking for help with toolkits. Sounds to me like your question is better suited for the part and assembly design subforum.

Rules are searches that are continuously evaluated and can be used to drive layers and simplified representations. They apply config settings to make your life easier. During this 3.5min video you will see how rules apply to layer management in Creo Parametric and Pro/ENGINEER

thank you Chris.

I'm try to explain me better, (Unfortunately, I cannot share examples)

In assembly i have 3 prt file, each ones have inside have more different layer state setting.

Example:

1.prt --> layer state: study 1, study 2 and study3

2.prt  --> layer state: study 1, study 2 and study3

3.prt --> layer state: study 1, study 2 and study3

I would like change from the Assembly for each part file set study 1, then through the assembly to do reset state and always through the assmebly change the layer stato, for each prt, to Study 3. without changed it prt by prt.

Thanks in advanced for your feedback/support!
