J-Link JRE Problem with Creo2 M020?

While trying to test some J-Link apps with Creo2 M020, I
found the bundled JRE to be somewhat broken. Using a
standalone JRE with jlink_java_command, everything worked
great.

Even a simple "java -version" didn't work, which is weird
because I have found that to always work, for any java
install, PTC related or not.

Has anyone else run into this?

I deliver with software an own JRE copy and use this to dock to the Creo. So I don't test your problem but with an own JRE it's no problem to connect to the Creo 2.0 M020 in async. mode.

I think it is a good way because many JRE versions work in different ways with the java code that I only can support some of them.

java -version works with the PTC supplied JRE with Creo 2.0 M030 and M040.
I no longer have Creo 2.0 M020 around to try it.
