I like to use the standard API's (VB and Jlink) to add "Creo Apps' for the automatisation of end users their daily handlings. Since recently (a year or so) we also use the NC-complete machining licenses to use Creo NC. but it is a pitty that the Basic API's do not have access to this. so everything has to be done with MUDF's and NC-Templates, but some programmatic automatisation would be very usefull in many cases.
I know the Creo Toolkit can be used to completely control this section, but since this is a very expensive license and to my own experience is harder to program (i used a test license for a month), so this is not an option for many companies.
I heard that a lot of other, for example Solidworks, Solidedge and Inventor, all have a fully exposed API free to use by the users. I personally would not mind if the free API's are limited, but in the case of Creo CAM it is strange that nothing is standard available.
Greetings from a young but daily user,
