Could not communicate to Allen Bradley Controllogix over Satellite Communication
I have upgraded KepServerEx.V5 to V.6. It can communicate with ControlLogix before upgrading. After upgrading to V.6.
- The latest Kepware versions have not undergone testing with the older firmware of Allen Bradley PLC
- Here is the tested firmware versions as per Allen-Bradley ControlLogix Ethernet driver manual
- While switching the Protocol Mode to Symbolic has been successful in some cases, it does not provide a guaranteed solution
- Right click on the device in the channel
- Select Properties
- Select Logix Options
- Under Protocol Options change Protocol Mode to Symbolic
