Issue with KepserverEx 5.3 License Transfer on an Offline Computer

Hello, community. I’m experiencing an issue while transferring a KepserverEx 5.3 license on an offline computer. When I try to 'Transfer a Product Activation' using the License Utility, I receive the following error: 'Virtual Machine Detected: Transfers Disabled.'  

Has anyone encountered this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

  • Save Kepware project file from current machine(machine A)
  • Install Kepware on new machine(machine B), import saved project from old machine and ensure functionality is working fine(although in demo mode)
  • Upgrade Kepware version on current machine(machine A) to v5.8 or higher
  • Transfer of license is now possible
  • Activate the transferred license on new machine(machine B)

Hi, I followed the process, but when attempting to update, I received the following message: "You're attempting to update your software to a version not covered under your current subscription license."

Is there another way to transfer the license? I noticed in the article that this process applies to versions 5.4.131.0 to 5.7.84.0, while I have version 5.3.156.0.

Please select the option "Continue the installation and use the product in Time Limited demo mode" and proceed with the installation.
