My.KepWare.Com's License Transfer is broken

My.KepWare.Com's License Transfer is broken

Is there any updates on when the License Transfer functionality will be fixed on my.kepware.com? We're currently unable to Transfer Licenses due to the error and all the Support Engineer can do is tell me to reach out to sales@kepware.com ?

Hey Bhupendra,

 

It appears that the License Transfer feature on my.kepware.com is broken due to a CORS issue that your website is experiencing.

 

There is also another error message that the FileReader.readAsDataURL() is also improperly implemented. Error message is: "Failed to execute 'readAsDataURL' on 'FileReader': The object is already busy reading Blobs". This means you guys are most likely using a single instance FileReader instead of one per request.

 

I also find it disappointing and not particularly customer-friendly that I’m being asked to purchase a support contract to address a problem that stems from a malfunction on your own self-service website. The fault lies with the broken web features, not with the customer trying to use it.

Please try again and follow the steps given below. Services are restored \

 

KEPServerEX / ThingWorX Kepware Server (Microsoft Windows OS)

  • The MyKepware portal is incompatible with Internet Explorer 11, and legacy Microsoft Edge browsers.
  • Options to activate a KEPServerEX / ThingWorx Kepware Server license:
    • Software license activation - Online
      • Right-click on the Administration Icon in the system tray
      • Select License Utility
      • Click Activate
      • Enter the Activation ID(s), machine name, and MyKepware credentials in the License Utility
    • Software license activation - Offline
      • Right click on the Administration Icon in the system tray
      • Select License Utility
      • Uncheck "Perform licensing operation online when possible (requires Internet access on this computer)"
      • Click Activate
      • Enter the Activation Id(s), and Machine name in the License Utility and save the information to local disk by clicking Save to File
      • Use a PC with Internet access, log into the my kepware portal
      • Under Product Licensing, select Activate Product License
      • Browse for the activation_request.txt file
      • Fill out the End User customer information
      • Select Generate Activation Response
      • Click Download Response File
      • Bring response.txt file back to the PC running KEPServerEX
      • Click Import File in License Utility to import response.txt
