Question

OPC UA Fails end point after computer reboot

After computer reboots client connection to the OPC UA is refused until service is restarted.  Issues with service starting and accepting clients after initial computer starts for the OPC UA end point.  Once services are are restarted client connections work great.  However, we are unable to figure while after computer reboot / startup our client connect is refused until restarting service.  We have use KEPServerEX v6.5.829 as well the latest KEPServerEX v6.16.203, these versions have not resolved the issue.

It sounds like there may be a race condition that may be resolved by going into the services console and putting the client application into "automatic delayed start".  This should allow the server to start before the client attempts the connection. If this does not resolve the issue, I recommend opening a support ticket with the Kepware Team for additional troubleshooting. Here is a link to the login page where a ticket can be opened:

It seems like the server never starts to allow clients to connect.  Restarting the client doesn't resolve the issue.  It's the OPC UA endpoint is where the problem is.  The only way to get the client to connect to restart the service for the OPC UA.
