One or more changes were not applied to since it is being referenced by a client.

Hello Community,

This happen on Kepserver 6.17 when i browse tag on OPC server. after selecting tag and hit " apply " button then there is warning "One or more changes were not applied to 'Wincc.HIPC11SVR' since it is being referenced by a client.". i read manual but no solution. is there anyone can help?

In KepServerEX typically means that the OPC client (in this case, likely WinCC) is actively connected to the server and referencing the tag or group you're trying to modify. When a client is connected and using a tag, certain configuration changes cannot be applied until that client disconnects or releases the reference.

 

Therefore,

  • Disconnect the OPC Client Temporarily
  • Apply the changes in KEPServerEX
  • And, restart or reconnect the client
